hello unisus!
this is the finalized design for our tshirt!
i have contacted the vendor and he says that the tshirt can be printed by tuesday, unfortunately we need to use it on monday during the rehearsal. i m not sure if he is able to rush it through.

to all seniors and those who are not in the team that didn't manage to order in time, my greatest appologies to you all. because i am in a hectic situation. next time i will prepare it earlier and make sure all of you get it.

Everyone's very tired and anxious about the upcoming competition but maybe let's try to just put up good performance and show everyone what we've got instead!

After HO, we probably won't meet up so frequently for trainings already, so let's enjoy the rest of the week together during trainings and enjoy doing stunts as well! (:

At least you guys did enjoy yourselves last night, didn't you?! Just be glad you were part of it, I didn't even get to watch you guys live in action, nonetheless be part of it. =(

Oh wells=)I think you guys did great. I wouldn't deny that some of the teams were better in ways or another but at least we didn't lose to ourselves. We gave a 100%, didn't we?

That's all that matters. At least to me.

after the drinking session, i realised one thing: the winning or losing (at least for juniors) doesn't matter so much, but rather, the effort and the commitment to the team, the experience and the overall bonding of the team that truly counts. though we may have failed to be champions, but in everyone's heart, we know that we stuck together, through the pain and the misses, through the falls and the failures, UNISUS will forever be part of our lives and memories.

yes, i do understand that for some of the seniors, this is their last chance to get a medal for HO, thus i don't think i can say much about that, but i am really grateful to the seniors for their encouragement and ability to stress us, for without their effort, we would never have been able to put up such as show as we did today. kudos to the SENIORS and i really hope that after you guys graduate, you can come back and visit us from time to time.

as for us juniors, i think that though we may have failed at some stunts today, but don't be disheartened, for it is a lesson learnt. we still have next year's HO to look forward to and it is the spirit that matters, not the medal.

to lydia: everyone has their up and downs, and so, for a change, let someone take care of you and know that you have already done well.

to joseph: i am truly grateful to you for all the effort and stress you have gone through to piece the routine together for us. it must have been tough on you, both mentally and physically. once again, thank you.

all that i have said above are slightly under the influence of alcohol, so if i have offended anyone inadvertantly, i do apologize upfront.

Hey Unisus!!! After a good nite rest it is time to put down our disappointment and move on.
The end of HO marks the beginning of a new Unisus….one that will be stronger and mightier then before. So lets work together UNISUS…….HUAT AR!!

I apologize for my temper during trainings. But I always snap whenever a flyer falls without proper spotting or is endangered.

Its my 1st time being a coach. I have to admit it was very pressurizing for me and I get irritable as a result.

I apologize if I had offended anyone or hurt anyone in the process of pushing the team.

But everything I do is for Unisus. I am responsible for 24 ppl. I am responsible in making sure 24 ppl leave the mats on 14th Jan with no regrets. I want to be able to answer to my own conscience after 14th Jan. I dont want to look back and wondered if I could have done more.

Bear with me for another 2 days. 14th Jan will be a day to remember.

We have came a long way since August for this HO. From Viola Performance to now, indeed everyone has improved tremendously. Being able to do more than 90% of the stunts today at the walk through today morning has proved that you all are the force to be reckon with and an evidence to show that all your hardwork has been paid off. For me, i am proud of UNISUS, especially the freshees. You all have shown clearly what HO Cheerleading competition is all about, to prove to pple that we do not need ACES pple to put up a high standard routine. You all have proved that through hardwork, teamwork, perseverance and passion that Hall level Cheerleading could be pushed to a higher level, even to National level i would say. However we must not be complacent after today. We still have much room for improvement as pointed out in order to deliver a flawless display. So for this coming few days,

Exams are finally over and it marks the start of the mad trainings for HO 2009! It will not be easy but I assure you that at the end of it all, HO is a day to remember in your life in NTU.

When i heard about the pending decision to ban all ACES members from HO, I was appalled. It was not because I would be affected but rather it was the rationale behind the suggestion.

1)Hall teams with ACES members have unfair advantages
2)ACES members would deprive Hall residents of a chance to compete
3)HO should be judged more on creativity then technicality

I started out as a Hall Cheerleader. When I led the team in 2006/07 as the captain / Social sec, we had no ACES members. The only ACES member to speak of was our coach, Zhaoming. We clinched 2nd place not because of any ACES MOJO like how some halls like to put it. We did it through hard work. Our coach was a monster. He pushed us like we were ACES ppl and had high expectations.

Then comes 2007/08, this time around we have 2 ACES members. Zhaoming our coach joined in the routine because he moved to Hall 1 and Spencer joined in. But merely 2 powerhouses could never have crystallized the routine that Zhaoming had in mind. 2 Powerhouse could never have done the shoulderstands and the toe pitches at the same times. Nor could they ever be both backspot, main base and secondary base at the same time.

The HALL 1 UNISUS cheerleaders all have to work hard to achieve the targets set for them by the coach. Shoulderstand bases had to be more stable. Flyers had to learn how to lock tighter. Our 3 backtuck flyers were pure Hall Flyers with no ACES experience whatsoever.

The bottom line is, "A cheerleading team is only as strong as its weakest link."
Period.

Dont conveniently blame the ACES MOJO for what caused your defeat. Cos there is no such thing.
We had a hard routine to hit but we knew we had to hit it. Train hard we did but we failed to put up our best on the mats on the actual day. Such is the reality of cheerleading.

Thanks Minghui, Shujing, Joseph and Shuqin for the Crab feast treat today! Especially Shuqin who came all the way down from work to treat us and travel back to her home in Pasir Ris. She has officially headstarted the UNISUS Godmother gang. Maybe Ziyang also our godfather alr. Hee. Wow! long long time since there has been so much updates in the blog..=)
I know there has been lots of posts bout Unisus' performance during Voila..but let me the 老女人 (in Joseph's words) share my tots on it..

First of all..I'm REALLY REALLY PROUD of Unisus 08/09!
The progress made by you guys is tremendous..LONG LONG TIME AGO when i first joined Unisus..during Oct..i was most probably still learning my elevator and extension...compared to what was showcased by Unisus that night..i tink you guys/gals have lots of potential and passion..and learn really fast!

Being part of the team that performed..the happiness felt by you pple probably came from the having the first all stunts up performance..from seeing all your hardwork pay off..but for me as a senior..my happiness stemmed from feeling so proud of Unisus..the feeling i felt that night..watching you perform..and finishing off with all stunts up..is no different from the feeling i felt when we won HO..i tink the seniors will understand what i feel..it's quite a 激动 emotion.

I really enjoyed watching you guys rehearse and perform that night..it made me so gian..reminded me of those times when we trained tgt for HO..it might have been lots of hardwork..with sweat, tears and blood occasionally..but i truly enjoyed it..and that was wat bonded Unisus tgt..for the freshies..once you experience that..you'll probably never want to quit cheer. =)

That night..i not only saw progess by the freshies..but i saw how seniors have improved too.. not only in terms of skills..but leadership as well. =)
1. Qiuyan managed to chereograph the performance all by herself.
2. Shujing, Jiaxiu and Minghui did well in gathering the team for training.
3. Joseph and Jimmy passing on their knowledge they learnt from Aces.
4. Luting conquered liberty.
5. Lydia's btoss toe-touch is awesome!
6. Wenqi, Shujing and Shuling are all better mid-tiers.
7. Eileen..our ever versatile flyer cum mid-tier.
8. Minghui can dance SO MUCH better now!

Freshies flyers are amazing..being able to do 2-2-1 hitch and liberties at only the beginning of Oct..and freshie guys..stable shoulderstand and grp stunts bases..not forgetting the backspots. =) There's so much more potential in you guys to be unlocked! Jiayou k!

Now that exams are coming..and Unisus will be taking a break from trainings..it'll probably be 1-2mths before trainings resume..but not to fret..for those who feels like cheering this period..i'm sure the seniors will oblige when you pple request for "play play" sessions. =)

Over the past week or so, after repeated drilling of the stunts by our experienced, albeit fierce, seniors, our first ever performance (for freshies, at least) was a huge success!

Every bit of hard work we all poured into the training sessions and supper sessions have paid off spectacularly! Though this may be a simple routine, but without commitment and dedication, it could never have been possible...

Here's a big THANK YOU to the seniors, giving up their time to help choreograph, plan the stunts and train us till it got drilled into memory!

Today is a special and memorable day for UNISUS Team 08.. Its not that minghui score 95% for his maths quiz. I will explain why:

Today, 08/10/08, You UNISUS freshees have your first ever routine performance.
First ever ALL STUNTS UP performance.

End to all your hardwork and effort.

Finally we can proclaim you all are currently the best hall freshee team in terms of skills and teamwork wise.

First ever batch of UNISUS freshee batch that did such level of stunts to date way before HO competition.

Lastly, our first ever all stunts up routine if you all notice.

Honestly, i tink not just me, but all the seniors and hall friends are really proud of your achievements today. Today you all have just proved that with effort and teamwork, nothing is impossible.

You all just used two weeks to train for this routine. You all just learnt the dance one day before the performance. You all just run through the whole routine with music only on the actual day. More importantly, you all just exposed to cheerleading less than 2 months. To able to do what you all do today in the routine and all stunts up is really a remarkable piece of effort. If you all can maintain and improve from this, im sure we will be able to achieve excellent results for HO competition.

More important, our very own UNISUS Coach Zhaoming who came down to support us today say you all are not bad!!!!! But still can improve alot larh... He can say this means you all are OK!!

Importantly, we all shldnt b complacent abt what you all achieved. Instead, there is still alot of rooms for improvement and lots more work have to be done for HO competition. But more important, it is the time spent during trainings and the bonds made that are much more important then competition. We seniors are glad to see you all enjoying every single bit during training and all your efforts of coming down on time for trainings. Cherish every moment in UNISUS, cos me and joseph as final year students feel tat time really flies, and nt a lot of opportunities in hall to be able to spend so much time tgt and work tgt as a team to achieve a common goal. Besides, you can only do cheerleading when you are still young.

Hello UNISUS, Believe it or not.

THis is my 1st ever post in here. Finally have a chance to have some time to blog here. Voila performance is around the corner. Believe it or not, all freshees have improved by leaps and bounds over these past few weeks.

I have seen huge improvement from all of you, the bases control, the flyers locking and the backspots clamping. Pple like Sharon(nickname AH TA) thanks for not sitting so much animore, Weiling getting better on the liberty pop(but yr stoning power is just too zai alr), yining(nowadays her nick is Ms Stick) always on the push to do better in Cheerleading, Ni Zhen getting much better but rmb to lock yr knees everytime.

Just in case you all say i only observe gerls, guys bases have improved tremendously i would say. Mingkun and SHaowei although being the thinnest bases, you all still can deliver tasks demanded well, ivan and jonathan's chemistry were great while zhihong and kenneth doing a great job with our miss laughing all the way Ni Zhen. Of course not forgetting our power backspots Victor and Jiaxiu, without their clamping and stability things wun b so easy for the bases. Of course, i hope you all are enjoying every training.

The seniors really make a lot of effort helping thru the training and making this performance a success for you freshees.

You all have done really great. Honestly you all are really good. If you all are able to deliver wat is needed for the performance, you all would become the most Zhai Hall cheerleaders to date now.Im sure of it.......

Voila is a chance for you all to show what you all have learnt and all your hardwork you all have paid off. So give your best and aim for ALL STUNTS UP!!! I will post more from now on. Hope everyone gets settled down in Uni life now. I understand that everyone is getting tied down by sch work n busy schedules. As much as possible, we gonna slow things down abit. But b4 we head out to our books for our exams which are coming soon, just have to tell you guys, that VIOLA; we are definately gonna perform. From wat i heard from Mona, they wanna make VIOLA a grand event for a start. So since we are performing, lets come up with a nice good performance! We don't need high lvl stunts, we just need the freshies n seniors who can perform to spend 1-2 nites for the performances training and put in a decent effort =)

A Blast from the past 2006 #4

The year 2006 was a strange year actually , beginning of some new and yet old culture. For one, we had the most interesting mixed of people.Laleong , u sure u join when u freshee or not, cannot find ur pic anywhere leh. haha

It was our last year that the ruggers sacrifice abt 2 players for cheer (yes ,strangely they always appoint 2 guys to sacrifice to us, haha talk abt PR sia ) , first time n for now the only time,we had pageant ppl ( pageant scare kena disfigured lah, look at wat cheer done to me!), 1st time we had a hall prez in cheer, our first super lightweight ( below 40 kg loh), first time a coach was in the rountine(more abt tat later) and for reasons unknown ,the team seems to haf the most amount of ppl!

The very first thing tat distinguish this team compared to the rest is tat tis was the first year tat unisus is officially photo whores, there is damn alot of pictures lah.

U get the idea ,rite? It was a rather interest year becos most of the guys stayed either in blk 14 n blk 15 . So the loud siren captain of that year, Aki ,came up w an excellent way of gathering us. No, it wasnt using the phone, sms , msn or even email. non of that high tech shit, it was by sheer lung power. she scream... i mean screech... erm... request our attendance each day ,before training. in fact she got so good at it , she even started calling us by the sequence of our room location. dun play play hor. No way in hell ,can u mess w the captain? no way...

Many guys also start to explore their inner emotion and to hear the inner voice within. Slowly the macho guys start to fade and replace by the unglam version of unisus guys as u see now... hai... hahaha

Our coach was officially switched back to jesse as vincent had to serve the army and fight for the country. I would say our stunt is a lil more polished and the guys haf came out w the infamous cockroach touch as opposed to the old fashion toe touch . haha

There was one glitch in this happening year of 2006... we did not compete...

It seem our bad luck or negligence has cos another fatal accident and this time one night before our competition... It was just an simple extension but somehow it collapse and one of our flyer fell and went unconscious... It was a very dark moment for all of us in unisus as we all sat in the holding area of the A & E department of the hospital. U can only imagine the emotions we were feeling, all the training, all tat hope of regaining our cheer position and the sadness tat one of our own is injured tis way... In the end , it was decided we will haf an performance with our coach replacing our flyer,yuwen and treat as an performance for HO and for the sake of hall one.

Aint anything that can hold us down, woot ~

It was an awesome year despite the accident and thats all i haf for the year of 2006 ,do feel free to add anymore details or pictures if u like.

A Blast from the past 2005 and 2006 #3

Year 2005 was the first year, there are seniors tat stayed in cheerleading for 2,3 years running. The team mainly consist of seniors and some shy juniors ( yes , goaty was once shy n skinny, its hard to imagine but true... life is full of wonders rite? ) . Jesse (coach of 2004) recommended vincent to be our coach. Vincent is from the current magnum team that year.

Tat year.... was the most shag cheer year ever. Training consist of half an hour solid stretching, guys dun bother hiding ,u be hunt down n stretched. later on ,we haf circuit physical training :

handstand push up, diamond push up, tuck jump, jumping jack, burpees.... Bring shudders yet? we still need to do sets of test jump , walk up n down w shoulder stand ...

The idea was to bring cheer to another level and we worked very hard on the "new" stunts ( by now, tis stunts are considered basic, but during them, it was hard shit! )

One of the stunt "Teddy bear" is brought forward and made famous by hall one! We shld haf named it unisus bear instead, damn...

Unfortunately , we didnt win that year due to an major accident during the HO . Our top flyer, linda fell from an simplified toss to hand n hit the ground. Boys n girls ,e moment a flyer drop to the ground, its game over , we haf no chance in any of the medal . However , it is a very inspiring story becos after the fall. the girl broke her arm and tis is wat happened next. She went up and got ready for the next big stunt as top flyer. She was send to the hospital after the entire rountine was over. Talk abt dedication huh? I would haf like to name all the seniors den and dedicate tis post to them but i'm sure i will absent mindedly leave out a few names so the following are the pictures of them. If u guys want the video for tat yr, can ask me. ( oh oh , i had my 3 sec of fame during tat yr, solo dance!)

The year was 2002,2003 , cheerleading was more or less whatever anyone made of it.

Ee lynn (ancient)," before that it wasnt onli dance. there were a few stunts but we din do it the way it should be done. it was quite funny once u know how to do it right and u realise how dumb u did it then but yeah so anyway. haha so it was like trial and error and sort of learning from looking at other ppl lah. i tink last time there was cheerleading in some of the girls' schools and it was a remnant of that lor. whoever had a bit of experience jz took that and choreoed a dance."

Cheer had a few undermining problem den , despite the great interest it has generated during that period. It was hard to get guys to join due to the alpha male mentality den and well cheer wasnt really that spectacular nor respected as an actual sports den. However, ppl wanted to change that and it started w many talk cock session n many cup noodles that eventually brought about the changes.

Goaty,"why did cheer change from cultural to social?"
Gerald( hall one ex strongest man) ,"oh, i guess it's more like an "arrow" ba."

With the combined effort of the cultural sec n social sec, an identity was forged in the form of a unisus ( yes, we are lazy so we just let our name be the same as the hall's mascot) and along with it was our first generation actual uniform. Noticed the color combi is abt the same and its just as skimpy. This effort was further pushed forward with the introduction of our hall's first hired coach which was well, either jessie or lenny, i think its kind of an combined effort and this is the cute part, we were founded by magnum not aces. kind of like an angmoh raffles found us and not lee kuan yew rite?

Vonz~" i was trying to organise national cheering comp thats cheerobics then i got to know lenny
.then i asked him to help us lor .But at tt time after one session, he asked jessie to help us."

Lenny is the guy in white while jessie is the girl in white. Jessie went on the coach unisus in 2006 as well. And well that is the year that hall one got our first Champion in the year 2004, with the combined effort of everyone.

Next up , a run thru from the year 2005 to 2008 which also coincidently is the lifespan of goaty's cheer life.

Unisus : A blast from the past #1

Hey there, tis entry is the first installation of how unisus started out! I dun really haf all the data n dates but these are wat i haf complied over the period of time when the idea hit me. If anyone find that any of the information might be wrong or something do drop me a mail and i would make the changes asap. :)

Long long long time ago when policemen just changed from wearing shorts to berms , hall one cheerleading was simply... well hall one cheerleading. We were under the cultural sec den and the cultural aspect of hall one was still kindna green cos after the foundation of hall one ,our founding father saw fit to promote the following cultural practise which up to this day is still very much of hall one identity ;supper , mahjong and ponding. Ther was no unisus nor unific , our cheer team is our dance team and at times our drama team as well. As one of the ancient (Vonz) saids,"cheer then was those dancing dancing stuff lor" . Shoulder seat was still not even introduced to the scene, in fact u probably only get to see knee seat! While i am not surprised by how cheer was den , i am surprised by the uniform den! U guys haf to understand cheer wasnt very hot den and it was the hokkien alpha male era so there was hardly any guys. Hence the uniform was kindna of like make shift.

During that time ,digi cam still not in use so i haf no pictures of ppl from that time but i guess the tee would be sometime like the above? haha like ah tiong tee shirt rite?

1st day of training! woot~

As some of u muz alr know, we just had our first training. Generally, it went pretty well, we had good response from the freshee n there are a substantial amount of girls n boys as well. The problem however is the lack of seniors to teach n demo. so end up shoulder sit became an hybrid of tanzen n "bow and broken arrow". To furthur encourage our seniors to continue their pursue of cheer awesomeness and eventually,if god willing ,step onto the road of no escape that goaty has paved, here are a few good reason.

#1. U get to know the freshee! bring them go supper stil muz walk so far, den also e freshee from ur own family one, not so fresh liao.
#2 Eat meat, the tradition muz go on.
#3 Always wanted a face lift? come to cheer for instant results!
#4 Free gym, with the goaty's human weightlighting program, u be jimmy-fit in no time ,weights come in various sizes and availability,ranging from shuqin to goaty.
#5 The sweet sound of that virgin scream when they are up in the air... And the fun of making them smile when they are in midair.
#6 U get to see goaty , in fact for a small price , i will throw in my Goaty's eat meat 101 lesson. And for a slightly not so small price, i will help u set up the perfect romantic cheer partner stunt with the girl u desire. ( disclaimer: girls will depend on avaliability and girl u desire cld be replaced w guy not so desired)
#7 Revival of the V2
#8 Touch ur heart , u really miss cheer ,rite? that adrenaline high, tat bruise u can tell other ppl that u got it cos u one person whack ten person, the whacky story of how her elbow n ur butt connect in a failed stunt and mostly the unisus spirit that dwell within you.
#9 U get to see goaty.
PS : where is the 3 virgin that is supposed to be sacrificed at my altar?

That's all the crap i haf for the moment. Sorry for the late arrival of unisus's history, being a lil lazy whaha.
OK here are serious requests.
- Pls confirm training a lil earlier and other than updating in the blog , maybe shld try to spread it thru other medium. I am hoping to kick off the alumni as well so if i know it earlier ,it be easier for the oldies to schedule their time

Ate w zhewei the other day and he asked me when am i posting up jokes again? JOKES! are u kidding me? all my post are high quality soul searching, heart wrenching, concentrated multi layered meaningful posts loh! They are life changing entity trapped in the form of words for the mass!
As i was thinking wat enlightenment i shld present to u all, i haf decided perhaps i shld help dispel the truth /myth of cheer for some of u and the future some of u and the past some of u .

#1 U can get to know hot girls and eat Bak !
( at first they look cute, petite and pretty den can hold them somemore . BUT later on ,u realised u get step by them quite often(literally) ,den u realised their forehead, elbow,knee, feet , nails and sometimes buttocks are deadly weapon out to draw blood or at least black n blues. The Bak becomes beef jerky... )

#2 Cheer boys cannot make it
( definate myth. hall one strongest man ( gerald ,some might not know him) was from cheer. we had ruggers , dragonboaters,swimmers,runners, bulls, monkey, goats, zeus , guan gong , kratos, ninja turtle, spider man, etc... to name a few famous cheer ppl . In fact there is a lot of ex unisus , who still dun dare to come out in the open. I heard got a very good looking goat in unisus also loh.)

#3 U will lose weight in cheer
( For girls , its true , all the flip here flip there and the kungfu kicks and flying elbows ,how can not be fit and slim! For guys,i am sad to say ... every gram of fats u lose, u gain 3 bump of bruises in exchange ,so u actually gain weight and look a bit more bluish. )

#4 Can find GF
( well i guess its truth but the truth is tat after finding out the killing destruction of our cheer girls, guys usu find them for protection or to use to whack ppl. Like when jimmy not happy w someone , he will toss qiuyan at them while qiuyan perform somersault flying triple kick. )

#5 Unisus Guys are damn good looking

I will miss Unisus next year... Uhm... decided not to stay in hall for final year so 2008 was really the last year of my Unisus-hood. In my first year we didn't get to compete but I was glad to rejoin the family this year and win at least a bronze. It was a tough road and when I think back, I think it was a bit like self-torture, gg thru all tt training but I have to say I dun regret it.

Couldn't follow Goaty's footsteps, I had to stop here. But I will always proudly tell ppl that I was once a Unisus too!

Hmmm..when i read the posts bout "What do i want"..
the first thing that came to mind was..

I want to compete in HO again!!!

Haha..i'm wishing for the most impossible dream..so not possible..
cos i've alr had my last lecture in NTU on last Thurs..and my last lesson will come on Tues..after which..exams will come..and before i know..it's "Bye Bye NTU."

Hmm..been thinking back alot recently..maybe cos the end of my study life is near..so all the memories come flashing by..juz as mentioned by goaty in one of his earlier posts..it's true..the fact that when you are near the end..you tend to look back and reflect.

The memories flashback..more than half of the memories revolve ard Unisus..
all the times spent together..be it during trgs, supper, talk cock sessions or during HO itself.
If you ask me what i'm gonna miss most about graduating..it's definitely not sch or lessons..but Unisus.

Without Unisus..uni life would have been so boring..the cheer experience is irreplaceable..dun tink this point needs much elaboration..it's probably felt by everyone of us. =)

So..i wanna take this opportunity to say..

Hmm.. goaty's post got me thinking about what i want, and although it's been a question that's frequently asked, i never really came up with an answer, it's always, i live by the day. but today, while i was eating (alone) at subway, i got myself thinking, what really really interests me? then i remembered a conversation i had with some of you cheer peeps some time last year..

a few of us were bullshitting during dinner.. and somewhere along the way we started talking about cafe al fresco.. that was when someone mentioned that we shd start up our own cafe, take over al fresco and setup our cheerleading cafe.. one idea led to another and soon ideas formed, how we would have guest performances on some days, and then the decor of the place, music (obviously the cheer remixes), and of course, who could not think of the waitresses in cheer outfits..

just seems that everytime i think about what i wanna do, the cafe idea pops up, and i guess, perhaps if given the unlimited capital and a super rich bf to back me up with lotsa money no matter what.. this could be what i wanna do. haha.. themed cafes? perhaps.. there arent any cheerleading themed cafes.. not that i know of at least.. it's gonna be situated in one of those rustic looking shophouses, with cheer uniforms in glass frames decorating the walls, ooh, set aside one huge wall for all cheerleaders and all wannabes to leave their messages on! and how about the music, bring on the loud noisy but oh-so-hip-jiggling music while people savour rich tasting coffee and cakes.. not to mention a dinner menu of home cooked style papa steaks, and mama fried mee.. mmm. arent u excited already?

it will be a gathering place for all cheer enthusiasts, discussion of ideas, area to try out new stunts, design new uniforms, talk about anything and everything about cheer, gossip about other teams, and of course, savour the glory of our inspiration. Unisus. We'll play videos - the performances, the jokes, the trainings, and the wrestling sessions.. all on our huge LCD screen. haha. our medals, pinned on the wall.. do our U-N-I-S-U-S cheer to our staff and get a discount! it will be a place to remember what inspired us to go through blood, sweat and tears (of joy and shagness)...

ahhh... we all have dreams, dont we? =)

I guess I have an idea but it is not a concrete visualization. To me, I want to find my niche in the world, somewhere I can etch my big name on.

And sometimes I think studying in school is such a paradox. I do not believe that GPA is directly proportional to success, be it financial or otherwise. Most of the time, I question why I study and I realize it is just to secure a failsafe degree to feed myself if all else fails.

Such is the self limiting force lingering in the world called "Reality".
Yes call me a cynic.
Being a Hall President just boosts my cynicism to an all new level, and to think all the darkness I witness in NTU is just but a glimpse of what is to come.

Back to what I want.

I think it is more of a question What I Can Want. I want many things, supermodel gf, billions of moolah, Sentosa cove bungalow, Lamborghini, throw money frm 2nd level of Zouk.

The stark darkness of "reality" has really stifled my ability to dream and I am glad to say that I found it back through cheerleading.

In cheerleading, we defy the laws of the universe, we defy gravity and we smile while doing it. Others may scorn us, say we are gay or wasting our time. I see it as a short respite from the darkness of the world.

I rest my case.

Being a final year student would force u to face many question you have either not thou of or dread; wat do i want to achieve? wat job? min pay expectation? wher to go? marriage? paying bills ? bla bla bla
To put it in short, it simply narrow down to," what do i want? "
Ur answer could be an accumulation of things u want to do like sky diving, skinny dipping... ...
Or is could be a summarised one like to pursuit happiness , to be the best i can be ... bla bla...
The answer cld pop up suddenly in an unexpected moment like while shitting or it could be after long hours of reflection and meditation during detention classes. It could even be a simple ," i dun know? " Dun worry, " dun know" is a common answer. it just mean destiny and desire has not collide in ur world yet.
To be truthful, i dread tis question. It forces me to realised if i do not find my place in the world , i might find out; when its too late , i might not like it, i might never know. Henceforth i take the approach of ancient wise man ; to build a tunnel thru a hill , dig a small stone off it first.

Below is some of the things i haf thou tat i might want to achieve.

1) Find a girl who stays in hall and haf a car of her own. ( tis aim is alr achieve by someone ,hee)
2) Find a tortoise mate for my tortoise
3) Do a back flip ( i dun really see tis happening ,considering my cheer life ended ,haha)
4) Do a Full V2 cheer rountine in front of a crowd of at least 50
5) Win lottery.
6) be mistaken for takashi
7) get a car ( can be co-related to (1) )
8) get a 8 pec tat cld bounce pingpong balls and juggle milk bottles
9) Go backpacking with a credit card with no cash limit
10) Look back and say i did ok and den look forward.

Now Now, u dun really expect a totally serious post from me, rite? Althou i wld like to hear just one thing u want to be , want to do or want to happen. Dun anyone dare write it on the tag box . Write a post, it can be just one sentense , one word or better yet one paragraph. doesnt matter, lets share our thous w the team. And who knows u might suddenly see...

The legend of Goat

Goat was once a goat (duh...) and lived happily in the small little vegetation next to the hall 6 pond.

One day, as he was taking a pee at the pond when he saw this pretty gal with 36DD jugs sitting at the opposite side of the pond. Given Goat's friendly and live-loving nature, he went over to make friend. The gal was mesmerised by goat's silky and smooth hair, and she got up straight away to have a feel of them. She fed a handful of grass to Goat but he said he prefered milk. The gal was very kind and would like to please Goat, so she went off to find some milk and assured Goat that she wun take long.

Goat waited patiently for hours, but there was just no sign of the pretty gal returning. Being worried of the gal's well-being, he decided to search for her. He started looking in Hall 1. As BLK 17 was the nearest to the pond, he figured that its the blk he will start with.

He searched lvl 1 and 2 and was to no avail. Being very determined and giving up was not something Goat is used to, he ventured to lvl 3 of blk 17. All of a sudden, he seemed to be able to hear the beautiful voice of the gal. He followed the voice leading to the room down the corridor. The voice was gettin louder and Goat knew that the gal was near by. When he reached the room, he was so sure that she was inside. Indeed, it was her!! Goat was overjoyed.

She seems to be doing something and on seeing that Goat asked: "Hey.... wat are u doing? Tot u went o get me some milk?"

Gal turned around and to Goat's horror, she had 50 cheeseballs stuffed in her mouth!!!

"I am jus practising my Cheeseball-stuffing skill...... u want some??" The gal took a lump of nua nua stuff from her mouth and offered Goat.

Goat was disgusted and make his exit quick. He was so affected by the sight that he accidentally tripped on some rocks on his way back to the pond and he rolled straight into it. Being a goat, he was unable to keep himself afloat. He was struggling for breathe when a sudden pull from the seeming bottomless pond dragged him down......

Goat was not heard of and seen since but rumors has it that he was turned into human form by the mystical power of the pond. He was cursed eternally to have zero resistance to pretty gals. He was also cursed to be associated with cheeseball-stuffing gals for at least 2 years of his live.

It is said that when one reach his end, he will see the light and his entire life will flash right before his eyes. There i was , just sitting there having a staring contest with my lappie and all of a sudden, i realised tat my cheer life is really goin to end soon. All of a sudden , my entire cheer life flash past me and these are the juicy glimpse that i see... Time to spill the bean and watch the riot.

Did you know why elton sometime fails in his chair w shuqin? that is cause after dropping her ,his backspot will rush to help him kope shuqin also. (he enjoy the close contact of the sweaty embrace of the backspot...)

Did you know why yining always punch ppl in the stomach, she is in fact training for next yr stunt. so she can do a back tuck and punch planks in the air.

Did you know azimah is in fact not a real person? Go re-watch bambi and wait for the credit... Bambi real name is Azimah bambi eyeslikemarble.

Did u know why cheerleading can only have 1 or 2 official aces? When wenqi was freshee , she saw hall 6 have 5 , until now.... no aces dare to live in hall 6

Did u know zhewei has many tattoos at "interesting places" ? Other than the lion head at the thigh and i love mum at his butt. here is one more that read, Ann ,however when it is cold or when zhewei is feeling high it will read, annacorda Extreme XXX

Kaleong is in fact andy lau but due to surgery failure tats why no choice cannot be singer , act act student until he can get the cbb doctor to fix his face.

Shuqin and lydia is in fact one person call shudia but they were split by an 10 hour excrutiating operation at the age of 3.

Shuling used to be in dragonboat ,she joined cheer cos she rowed too fast and broke too many paddles;its rumoured that the tsunami was started by her rowing

Qiuyan used to be a racequeen but ever since she distracted the lorry driver who was transporting demolitions which unfortunately exploded and cause the nicol highway to collapse, she quit. ( yes, the gahmen lied! its not structural integrity, its human factors! )

Spencer and i used to be bartop dancers , we used to be the fire and water bonbon brudders but ever since those 6 pec bastard come to work, we were kicked out cos we were big bone.

Shujing and minghui are attached to each other since first sem.

Jimmy, junwei and alex are not really students, they are are in actual fact, undercover secret agent out to track mat selamat. ( mat selamat escaped and is in disguise since two years ago)

You youngsters ar, haf no fore sight, why keep blasting the school for introducing triple room , have you no idea the potential it has? In fact ,i propose the school have a Quad-room sharing instead! Imagine wat u can do with it!
1) Not enuff ppl for mahjong? worry no more , our Quad room gurantee tat u will always haf kakis for mahjong!
2) Intensive training for HO ? N o problem ,u can now train in the room with 1 flyer , 2 base n one base spot! (Flyers pls wear helmet in case kena Kill bill by the fan)
3) Play dota 2 on 2! no need everytime jio here jio there online!
4) Need spiritual guidance ? u now have 3 other friends rite beside u to sacrifice to the mugging GOD. ( if ur roomie is shuqin size , might need to sacrifice 2 instead)
5) See underwear thief ? last time is one chase , one call police rite? now four of u can hoist him on a cross and plant him at blk 16 first floor and let him high smelling underwears( i think u all know which part of first floor lah)
6) Clothes cannot dry? u can ask flyer to wear it and do backtuck continouslly until it drys! ( see 2)
7) want to go blk 15 but lazy to walk down blk 14 stairs? u can now ask 3 person to form a human bridge for u to cross over? ( if its jimmy ,ask him throw u over la)
8) KFC can order family value meal!

I guess exams are coming and this will probably be the period whereby bases' hands get really itchy and flyers start to gian to fly but I guess we have to put down cheers for awhile and conc on our studies. Need to jia you esp for chui GPA ppl like me to try to buck up! All e best! My sincerest "jiayou" to all of u all.. may ur studies go smoothly n hope exams will be a breeze to u all.. =) GOOD LUCK! MUG ON 3! 1 2 3 =( hahaha...

After exams we will resume off-season training okay? Depending on how busy people are, we may make it once per week or once per fortnight. Lets make an effort to have some training if not will become rusty! Holidays also a good time to train up our freshie flyers! so all e freshies muz come down ok! n try to intro guys into cheer so got more base to stunt flyers! Seniors like zhiyang n shuqin n ka leong muz come down oso k.. coz u all got the richest experience and most things to share! come down n lead the fun! =) SEE YA!

Our infamous 1.5 min performance

As we all alr know ,our performance for cultural nite ended in an amazing 1.5 min! i think everyone was hoping for more . its a rather pleasant surprise to find out that alot of ppl there actually want more from us and its also an affirmation of the calibre of our performance. Alrite alrite, as uncle goaty, how can i be talking abt things so seriously, k here come ur dose of goaty crap.

In order to satisfy our beloved fans , here are some suggestion on how to lengthen our performance without too much prep work.

1) all the guys wear boxers tat as U , N , I , S , U, S and we pull down one pants for every 4 counts.
2) we bounce our flyers on our head for a 8 count. (for pro advice ,ask elton n minghui,i saw them demonstrate accidentally) haha

3) ppl do 3-3-2, or 2-1-1 or 3-2-3 , we show them 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 ( ask zm to lie down den the rest of us just start lyin on top, the whole unisus alr very well trained in tis drill)

4) V-2 ( as the forefather of the V2 gang, i assure unisus we are ready to do v2 dance anytime, we alr haf a few standard moves! )

5) ever watched u got served? we could do u got cheer'ed! ( etc , zm do a toss to hand den zhiyang do a shoulder sit in response ,den zm do a single hand cupid, zhiyang kick his groin... )

6) we shld co-operate w hall 2 dance grp, but get rid of their male dancers lah, V2 can take over them.
7) we can ask jimmy to single X kaleong n let him sing on top, like tat sure can last 5 min, the rest of us shoulderstand the flyers n they can be back up singer.

8)Use my suggestion ,take aces video, photoshop their banner to be unisus, done! den we can say there there tats jimmy , ther tats joesph ,all unisus wat.

9) get a few trampoline n ask our 3 back tuck girls to do back tuck continously.

10) BE like those singing audience , grab one n den get monsters like jimmy or spencer to do some stunts, sure got reaction de. If the picked audience is hall 2 dancer, i will transform to super saiyan(pls refer to dragonball comic) and do triple toss w her w a single hand.

Tonight..we proved our title of the blog.
1 Team 1 Mind Lets Fly.

To be truthful, I did not hold high hopes of piecing together a routine for cultural night.
I had the doubts..how are we gonna do it within a night.
But well..we did it. =)

It doesn't matter if the routine is imperfect.
It doesn't matter if the stunts are simple.
What matters most is that we enjoyed the training.
The bonus is..we achieved something.

Let's give it our best shot at Cultural Night.
Cross all fingers that there would not be technical errors or lighting faults.

Enjoy the moment while performing, not for other reasons, just simply because we are Unisus.

There i was peacefully mugging in ADM library when all of a sudden i realise tattoo girl (T-gal) is sitting in front of me. Hence i started planning my A-game.
Before than i made certain assumption to make it a controlled simulation,
1) She is really tattoo girl.

3) There is no one else here i know
4) Spencer is here but under the pact of universal brotherhood he will aid me in my A-game.

Scope

To get rid of the friend of T-gal n befriend her in a non-obvious way while appearing suave not desperate.

Damn it , got guy sit beside her! wait... clean shaved, well dresses, look meticulous in his appearance, could be gay ...

Experiment procedure

Time to use the resources available to me ; going to sacrifice spencer and use him to seduce guy away so i can make my move. Better pimp up spencer first ; wa lao wearing school tee , specs and hair not styled. Shall change him to PVC,shiny shiny cheer suit and give him oversized purple frame Sunglasses. Den trigger the water alarm and make him do back flips with water sprinkling on him. shld work...

Discussion

Even if i get rid of the guy also not easy leh, library got other ppl. Den if someone known see this, i will never hear the end of it. The experiment is not controlled enough for me to be able to predict the result. The possibility of T-gal having friends in this library unknown to me ,might mean giggling thru out the library when they see me in action. However , i can introduce myself as Alpha macho man and not sugar pumped cheer boy...

Juz to clear up whatever misunderstandings

To the ACES people.

After seeing all your posts, i think you all have really taken what i've said the wrong way.

1) I'm not doubting your committment to UNISUS, nor your love for UNISUS. In case you read my words wrongly, i'm ACTUALLY congratulating our guys for going up to ACES.

2) I commented about both the training facilities and ACES because
A) Our training facility sucked this year as compared to the previous year because we couldn't train late.
B) This situation is made worse because the ACES people have to come late regularly due to their own training (which i'm not angry about, i'm just stating a fact)
C) More of us are going up to ACES (which is a good thing!)
D) I think JUST by sourcing a better facility we can have more time together as a team. Come on, it is a known fact that alot of time was spent slacking around because simply we didn't have the entire team together or other halls were using the place.

3) The only single worry I have about more people going to ACES is not doubting their own committment, but ONLY simply the fact that our lack of a proper facility coupled with the heavy schedule of ACES will make it even harder for the team to have more time to train together.

4) To Spencer, i think you have totally misread my point. My point about team members grow and go up to ACES is to congratulate people like Jimmy, Elton, Joseph & Minghui. I'm not suggesting anything else. And even though the ACES people have not caused any lag in zai-ness of any stunts, as i've said above, the lack of training space plus the lack of time has resulted in alot of lost training hours. I'm not BLAMING anyone. I'm just saying to MINGHUI that we need to find a more suitable location.

At the end of it all, I find it very disheartening that the ACES people are taking this so personally when i'm simply suggesting the need to find a suitable training facility.

I admit some of what i've said is aimed at a particular member whose attitude and expectations had pissed me off. And some of you Unisus people will know who i'm talking about, simply because you felt the same. And perhaps you have thought that i'm shooting you. But some of you have been team-mates with me for almost 2 years. I'm a very direct person, if i've had issues with you, rest assure i would have told you.

i have no idea what had happen in the past, and i would not want to kaypoh too much also. but here's my reasons for joining aces team B.

1.) I was being Pretty emo back then.... lolx

2.) I join to gain more experience, like what jimmy and mh said.

3.) I'm assured we wont be given an 'ivp' status( so we can join ho as a pure unisus )

4.) I wanna polish myself; at least wont embrasses myself when I start recruiting people to join UNISUS next year.

5.) I wanna keep myself fit ( be like the 2nd zhi yang to help unisus)

Most important of all... I LOVE UNISUS... not the gayness type

the route of spectrum? NO WAY MAN. I juz join cheer just to have fun; you dont see me training till 3am, i'm not a robot. At least, no matter how busy i am, i still go down for play play session not to train but to make friends and know u guys better (come on! its call play play session) . IF SKM is still possible (super close to exam period) i would still go down and train... piah seh... beginining to talk rubbish... super tired after hall prod... lolx...

Hi, it has been fun training for HO 2008 this year. Till now, I can still clearly remembered first HO competition when I was in year one. To be frank, the primary reason for joining despite being year 4 was the fact that I wanted to win another gold before i retire.

Besides that, being in competitive cheerleading for 2-3 years and going through all the politics within the club, i longed to go back to the days where the poor shoulderstand get free massage, the girls crying when the base gets injured as well as the fun and laugher when people get together and clown around. Indeed i enjoyed every moment of it. Zhewei reminds me of myself when i started cheerleading. He will always be practising his required part as he does not want to get caught doing the wrong action. There will always be moments where i will always remember whenever i see the unisus uniform.

Anyway i understand why would ppl like jimmy, joseph , minghui and elton will wanna join the up coming cheerobics as aces. This is precisely the reason why i joined aces when i was year one. No body develops passion for cheer out of nowhere.The main reason will be to learn new stunt techniques to teach or help the hall team in the next year. Indirectly most find that there is so much more cool things to learn in cheer. Be it in parther stunt , gymnastics, pyrimids , tosses or even dances. Its almost impossible to be master of everything and thats the reason why till now, its still so damn interesting.

With regards to many issue pertaining unisus, i do not have the right as a newbie to comment, however upon seeing point 4 posted by ::Dollipop at 2:48 AM. I think i do have to address some of it as a simple member of both aces and unisus. Oh well below is the paragraph

FOUR.. This is more for Minghui. This year we had 4 ACES people, which was like a 400% increase because we had none 2 years ago. I think its great, because our own team members grow and go up to ACES, which is a good thing i guess? Haha. Anyhow, because this year we had problems with training facilities, the situation was quite bad because the 4 ACES people came quite late and we didn't have much time to work with them. Think we will continue to face this problem because now 3 more, Joseph, Elton and Minghui (APPLAUSE!!), has gone up to ACES. So this will definately become a problem next year. imagine 7 people gone from majority of the training. So.. REALLY NEED TO FIND A PLACE! Ha.. Maybe can canvass funds to build a sheltered facility in Hall One? Ha, i dunno, can explore that option

Well i dunno about the other 300%, but personally, being the 100%,i'm definately flattered to be in this wonderful family of hall 1. Basically if most ppl can observed, most if not all of the 400% are there to help out with stunts that cannot be mastered in the span of 2 months. They are not there so that our own team members grow and go up to ACES If possible most of the tops, the mid and bases are not the 400% To enjoy the process, each member have to feel and do the stunts themselve. Personally i did not wanna be the main base for cupie as i wanted the orginal member of unisus to do it. However when junwei told me he cannot do it, i offered as i know that it will be unfair to the rest if we scrape the stunt. It was purely to spread the cheerleading fun to this family. Even the coach have to do shoulderstand and for our coach to do shoulderstand, i really think he has much passion for the team as well as cheer.

Haha. Anyhow, because this year we had problems with training facilities, the situation was quite bad because the 4 ACES people came quite late and we didn't have much time to work with them This is definately a haha statement. I'm so sure that the situation was pretty bad with the training facilities. As far as i understand, hall 5, hall 6 would not allow training to be over midnight. Hall 10 had similar problem on few nights . Therefore i'm really sure that the training facilites have got to be a problem. However i feel that the 4 aces ppl who were late should be viewed as ppl who have another committement. Be it tuition, jobs or even meetings. Personally, i do not think that i have delay the team in preparing for stunts, though my 270 has offen been lack of practice due to insufficient member. Well done qiuyan " don't open your legs so wide" I also dun think any percentaqe was missing or late for the complete routie rehearsal.Indeed Haha

I'm really not sure what has this to do with more ppl joining aces?? Is it the venue problem or the ppl who are late a problem? So is aces a problem or ppl who are late a problem... hmmmmm have no idea at all "maybe lobonging in the army has turn me stupid" anyway to the ppl joining team b and a, i'm sure it will definately benifit you in one way or another. Join it for the fun and exposure, i'm sure the national stage will not disappoint you.

Well all in all, its been a long post. I'm purely writing this as an individual, as a fun loving member in unisus as well as anoter fun loving member in aces. Well i always feel that talking so much is no use, writing long post is no use either, if there is so much passion for a team, pls step out and contribute rather then offering complaints but no solution. I'm sure everyone can complaint, but its the person that step out do something about it that makes a difference.

okay i'm finally posting. reading all these posts kinda make me emo. it really somehow is returning to one year ago where things happened. i didnt feel good about everything happening as of last year till now. i havnt been saying anything cos everyone has said most. so doesnt really matter. furthermore, having more to say may in some way lead to more disagreements. that's what i think though.

anyway, i dont wish to add on to the emo-ness and further discussions over the whole issue. like what minghui says, we should all chill. and yes kl, let's drink! be it emo or not, let's drink! i really miss the times where we always had the night activities in either your room or mine. the frequent drinking sessions, talking cock sessions and the monopoly craze period. we can play monopoly again! which would last us the whole night. and then go for breakfasts. hahha! sounds crazy but that's what we were back then, playing monopoly almost every night, even during exam preparations. okay maybe not during exam preparations. oh eileen bought twister the other day. we can play that too!=P

i admit this year's outings and get-togethers have decreased. maybe we can make use of the recess week to have more outings, be it to bond or to simply just have fun. i suppose most of us would love to go back to sentosa once again as a team. it would definitely be fun. perhaps we should plan again soon. before everyone really gets tied down to their books. maybe on the day of night cycling?? haha just a suggestion. =)

So i think we should have a drinking session next week during the recess week!! I have alr planned a number of activities:

Throwing empty beer bottles from blk 14 and look at the glorious spash on the badminton court.
Gather at Blk 15 and pee down the slope together. (for guys only!)
Play drinking games and slap each other.
Mass puking. (possible location - pond)
A wrestling match between Goat and myself (with jimmy at my corner).

Alcohol will be provided my myself nd food maybe some snack octopus by qiuyan. Sounds great rite! Cos busy with projs and FYP morning an afternoon time i cant make it for outing.

Hey hey, this is my first post here. Hm, i wasnt manage to see any post or not really sure wats up here but from the history post it makes me feel like im back 1 year ago with some incident that now i tink is still funny..

Aniwae, i jus saying how unisus means to me.

BTW, i tot this blog is to post our wonderful memories, our little promo blog or smth, to let us have a sense of belonging and chit chat happily among us. But i dun see a point having a blog shooting each other or smth. So lets fully understand the meaning of this blog and let this be our little memory bank.

Unisus is the start of my cheerleading path. I rmb i was somehow drag into the team when i was a freshee and i have nv know wat cheerleading is all about then. Soon, i was attracted to UNISUS, i start to enjoy the time spent in trainings, the bonds made, the tings we did together where we initially tot it was impossible. And we trained hard, compete and well getting 1st runners-up on our 1st attempt since then was a major push to get everyone eager to push UNISUS towards the highest point. I got to say i admitted i feel that way too..hehe

Well, after incidents happened and blah blah blah, i realized that UNISUS is jus a hall cheerleading team, and although we are getting more competitive or if not already one of the best, we are still hall cheerleaders that loves the time we spent together and of course cheerleading as well. All of us want UNISUS to be the best, pushing here and there to greater heights is no doubt an approach we all aim for, but wats more important is not every one of us are so into cheerleading and commiting to it. More importantly, to me i feel that i am contented to be a part of UNISUS cheerleading team, and i could dare to say not alot of pple can be mad about UNISUS as much as i am.

I joined ACES shortly after the HO. My reason that time to join was i like doing cheerleading tings, but to be honest the reason i join is to learn more higher level stunts, and be able to share it with all UNISUS mates and up everyones level. Even in the ACES team, i noe in myself that who i am as a cheerleader today is because of UNISUS, and i always tell myself i started off in UNISUS and i owe to UNISUS and no matter how bad tings happen in the team, i just tell myself that well i will always tink of the wonderful times and achievements we did as a team and our wonderful times together.

I know of many pple in UNISUS that loves cheerleading. Even after HO, they still want to be involved in cheerleading. Well like me, i joined ACES in order to pursue my interest and passion. But times when tis year's HO where i haf to balance between this two, i alwaes look forward to come for UNISUS training, even after ACES training. I can say no one else noes the better than me in terms of issues between ACES and UNISUS so i hope stop linking both of them together. They are different.

I noe minghui, elton and joseph have recently joined the team B tingy. I can assure u they are in this because they love cheerleading, and that they want to pursue in their own ways their cheerleading passion. wat bullshit is that about being in ACES no time for UNISUS. Being in ACES is our passion and interest for cheerleading, being in UNISUS is about the time spent together, our achievements together as a team and our own personal love for UNISUS. Stop worrying about more ACES pple in UNISUS team, wat joke is that. Why must pple who wants to pursue more in cheerleading in their own way be limited? After all, UNISUS is just a hall cheerleading team, a cheerleading team that we all have our wonderful memories of, and if if if pple wants to leave the hall team, it is very normal. Is like i am in hall prod this year and next year if i dun want its ok? its not about forcing pple to join our team or smth. After all, if we face problems wif new bloods, even no one wants to be in UNISUS animore, more important is we noe and love UNISUS as per wat it was when we join, and no matter wat happens to UNISUS in the later years its not an issue cos its impossible to rekindle UNISUS spirit forever. UNISUS spirit is forever in our own heart thats all.

Anyway wat i say is wat i feel. Even though im in ACES, i dare to say i am proud to be in UNISUS, i love UNISUS and nothing will affect how i feel about UNISUS even if aniting happens to the team or disbanded. To share, everytime i see joseph, minghui and elton i feel proud about hall 1 in my own ways and happy to see my UNISUS mates enjoying themselves and when they team up to perform well in stunts, i feel happy for them and feel proud for UNISUS.

Dont worry about how many ACES pple in UNISUS, they would be late for UNISUS trainings if clash with ACES training or something, after all we are not going to be forever in UNISUS, we still have to leave the team when we graduate and we cant force anione in UNISUS or even if one opted for another team or not joining, just train a new guy. Thats what i learnt in ACES, not everyone would be there for the team forever. I jus hope everyone noes about this, ONCE in UNISUS, ALWAYS IN UNISUS........... and thats enough.... To me, UNISUS IS THE BEST!!! hehe ^_^
(Even if i see Joseph, Minghui or Elton for example winning big in ACES, i would be happy for them because i noe that they are products of UNISUS and as ex UNISUS mate i feel happy for them. )

Anyway not trying to prove aniting here, but few will realize the fact that i rush to change back to UNISUS attire after my ACES performance in HO to hear the results as team UNISUS. LOVES UNISUS!!!!

My post the last post ok. Regarding this whole issue. I think we shouldnt worry or argue over this too much. I think Unisus is like a FAMILY business more than a Professional Organisation. But that doesnt mean we cannot keep things abit more organised. I think people all have different stands. As a freshie, I dont really have a personal stand of my own. Basically my stand is juz to see every1 happy. I think Unisus should adopt a semi-professional approach, trying to be more organised and slightly result-orientated while retaining our cultures and bonding. To me, Unisus spirit seems not high but everyone is bonded and close in some way cause we share tears n laughter togt. And if you guys worry about ACES people, acty relac 1 la, we juz going to help team B. Its not realli team Aces. Its more like HO ALL STARS team join cheerobics. Haha.

I want to say is that, we set targets for ourselves. I know its already sort of a target in ourselves that next year we try to win the elusive GOLD. Having a target is good, help spur the desire to train harder, but i guess its all about having a balance. We get motivated to train harder but lets keep our cool. This year stress cause stunts hard, then not very easy to get people all to train consistently togt on same time, thats why always mk me headache! haha. but some ppl relac but some ppl gan jiong. but in the end, i tink i realli dun like the scoldin approach oso. But in a way inevitable in some coz enforcin discipline is oso impt. but in the end, i realise passion will lead every1 to knowin wats need to be done, towards e end, every1 was focus n serious not becoz we scolded but becoz u all wanna do it well. =)

Lets eat the chill pill on 3 on this emo topic k! I'll say i wanna restart training for unisus,not becoz we wanna become zai n win HO nxt year, more like bring every1 back to that badminton court where we had so much play play sessions n fun! cheerleading in hall 1 should be a hall social activity, grab ur frenz down if they wanna play, we all train n haf fun. Improve our skills while having fun. Doesnt mean cant commit for HO means cannot come down n play. Think we just have to rub our passion and spirit onto e hall ppl so that people will step forward n wanna try cheers out. AND THE MORE THE ABSOLUTELY MERRIER!

I tink wantin to win HO is a natural process, if we know we r good we definately aim higher! Lets just dont say it out too much how much we wan to win n how hard we shld be working for it. I think our passion leads e way, when e time come, when the captain call for passionate cheerleaders to come togt n commit to HO trainin which is realli massive, the busiest people with the passion will find their way to commit to it as much as possible.

Shuqin is right. What can we do for Unisus? Put aside our indifferences. Spare a thought for every1's feeling cause some1's passion is something not to trifle with. Dont say things which may hurt each other feeling le. Lets be cool, and enjoy ourselves on our UNisus outing and have some fun. When u guys gian cheer! FEED BACK TO ME. I will try MY VERY BEST to organise trainin whereby EVERY1 can mk it! =)

To me, i go aces i wanna learn new stunts! then come back can share w Unisus people! To me i wanna train our freshies flyers up, cause HO was realistic we didnt haf time to calibrate em. Now is the time. Theres small small ambitions here n there. But realli puttin every1 interest in mind, every1 have their dream for Unisus so lets just work things out naturally. Team spirit team identity comes naturally for Unisus, i guess its suppressed inside n we cant enforce n mk it come out. So lets juz build it up in this new season! =)

Anyway.. Was surprised to see so many 'real' posts suddenly, instead of the usual videos. Just to add something..

ONE.. In a way, all these EMO things are kinda familiar aren't they? I vividly remember almost a year ago after HO, when we all wanted to make Unisus something more than it was. And there was all this conflict and stuffs, especially between me and Jimmy. I don't think it was a particularly good phase for Unisus, no matter whose fault it was at that time. I really don't wanna see things degrade to what it was last year. So i hope that some of you have to take this EMO-ness with a pinch of salt, and realise it is just a bunch of people who GIAN cheer emo-ing.

TWO.. KL do have a point. Granted I have not joined in much of the trainings due to my Sports Sec commitments, I do feel that the spirit this year is not as good as what we had when we first started out 2 years ago. I mean, its not anyone's fault.. But the fact is just so. I mean, outings can only do so much. To have a good outing, people must WANT to go. For people to WANT to go, we must have good spirit. So its kinda a chicken and egg thingy. I guess, perhaps the people remaining in cheer next year can start outings and stuffs early to build up this spirit or something. Make UNISUS your lifestyle, not just a ECA in hall =)

THREE.. Personally, after 2 years in UNISUS, i'm beginning to doubt the point of UNISUS going down the route of Spectrum and other teams. Granted our zai-ness might be on par with them or whatever, going down the same route as them might not be the way we want to go. After all, it hasn't worked. I know i'm one of the guys pushing for Cheerobics and SKM involvement, but it was in part due to my gian-ness for cheer and also that its my final year in cheer. But well, looking at the situation now, with school assignments and all coming up, it still hasn't worked. So.. U guys might want to rethink it.

For those who are interested in going pro or whatsoever, there's always the route of ACES. I've heard ACES is starting a B Team? That might be good for those who are interested in furthering their cheer career. At the end of it all, you guys might be more zai than the rest because you are in ACES. But i hope you can temper your expectations. After all, this is a Hall team. People join because they want to belong to Hall One, not really because they want to have a career in cheer. Shuqin is right, ask not what Unisus can do for you, but what you can do for Unisus. If UNISUS is really too small a pond for you, i guess you can take flight and go elsewhere. UNISUS has survived a exodus of cheerleaders before, UNISUS can and will survive long into the years. =)

FIVE.. This is specially dedicated to ZM. I have no doubts about your coaching credentials. After all, you brought us from a noob team to 2nd last year and created a championship routine this year. But to ask people to leave the team because they are uncooperative is frankly quite childish. Now you're the one stirring shit. And frankly, no matter who wants to join or stay in the team, its not up to you. UNISUS is a family, we do not turn anyone away unless they have ulterior motives or bad character or whatever. I hope you don't take this personally. You are a good coach, but you really need to work on your PR or EQ skills to be a great coach. Yup..

Last but not least. I will be back next year to watch you guys from the stands (I want to join you but I can only start training intensively from the start of SEM2 as I will be away in Norway till around beginning Jan 09, I don't think that its the best of interests. BUT! Please ask me back if you need a backspot? HAHAHA. I provide my services for free!).

And not only do i hope that you guys can win the Gold medal, i also hope for you guys to perform with gusto and pride. And for you to walk out of SRC with your heads held high. The single regret this year is that I walked out with my head down and with my spirits low. I hope that it won't happen to you guys again next year.

Guess that this is all I have to say. Now that SKM looks like a remote possibility, it looks like my 'career' in UNISUS has come to a end. A Silver and Bronze. More than what i've expected. =) See you guys next year at HO Opening. Ciao^^
